Rapid

from $65.00

During a recent visit to the West Coast we came across the Waiatoto River Jetboat Safari, south of Haast. What a great way to get into the beautiful backcountry. One of the highlights was a stop for morning tea at a set of rapids that showed wonderfully the blue/green colour of the glacial water. This was a fairly straight forward long exposure, picking out the detail in one of the rapids. But I did edit reasonably hard in Lightroom to emphasis the texture and colour in the water to give the final image something of an abstract look. Hence it has ended up in ‘Photo Art”
